Allergies/Medication
|
|
Whenever possible, medication should be administered at home. Please contact the school and fill out the necessary forms if it is essential that prescribed medication be administered to your child during school hours. Medication, epi-pens and inhalers must be kept in the school office or be on the child's person. If your child is diagnosed as having severe allergies, please inform us immediately. We require three information sheets which include a current photograph of your child. These information sheets will be displayed within easy access of a telephone. KEEP UNIONVILLE MEADOWS PUBLIC SCHOOL PEANUT FREE! We have a number of students at Unionville Meadows who are severely allergic to nuts and peanuts. Their reaction to these substances is potentially fatal. In compliance with the York Region District School Board's Policy with regards to this issue, we are working to ensure an allergen safe environment in the school. School staff will do their best to monitor this, but cooperation and understanding from parents and students is essential to keep these children safe. Please do not send products containing nuts or peanuts to school. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. |
